Features
Everything a UK practice needs to run the week.
Six connected parts. Each one is built around the realities of UK accountancy work rather than adapted from a generic tool.
01
VAT deadlines
Set each client's VAT stagger once. Every filing deadline is worked out for you and shown in time to act.
- Correct by construction
- Returns are due one calendar month and seven days after the period ends. QuickManager applies that rule to monthly and quarterly staggers, including month-end and leap-year edge cases.
- A 45-day horizon
- The dashboard shows every return due in the next 45 days, with the days remaining and the client's name, soonest first.
- Linked to the work
- Create the VAT task straight from the deadline. Once it's marked done, the deadline shows as filed.
- Records chased on time
- As soon as a period ends, the client appears in the Contact clients list so you can ask for their records.

Timesheets
Fifteen-minute units, logged in seconds, totalled by person and by job.

- 15, 30, 45 and 60-minute buttons, or type the units. Each entry can be tied to a client and a task with a short description.
- Daily targets
- Each person has a target (30 units, 7.5 hours, by default) that their manager can change. Going over is allowed and shown clearly.
- Week view
- Totals for each day of the week with progress against target, and a running total of hours for the week.
- Practice view for admins
- Admins see everyone's time; staff see their own. Time by job across the practice appears on the dashboard.

Client reminders
Chasing records is the least loved job in a practice. Now it takes one click.
- Knows what to ask for
- The email lists exactly what's needed: bookkeeping records, or the records for a VAT period that has just ended, with the filing deadline.
- From your practice
- Sent as "Your practice via QuickManager", with replies going to the staff member who clicked. Clients reply to a person, not a system.
- Never a nuisance
- Each client can be reminded at most once a day, and the dashboard shows when they were last contacted.
- Nothing stored
- QuickManager records the date, sender and reason only, never the email's content.

Records needed from Ashworth & Vale
Hi Louise,
We're getting in touch because we need the following from you:
- Your latest bookkeeping records: bank statements, sales and purchase invoices, and receipts.
- Your records for the VAT period ending 30 September 2026, so we can file your return before the 7 November 2026 deadline.
Kind regards,
Hannah Lewis · Ashworth & Vale

Assistant
Ask a question about your practice and get an answer from its data, in plain English.
- Looks things up for you
- "Which VAT returns are due this fortnight?" "What's open for Hartley Joinery?" "How much time did we log on payroll this week?"
- Drafts, ready to copy
- Ask for a chaser email or a note to a colleague and copy it in one tap.
- Read-only, by design
- It can't add, change or delete anything. It never sees NI numbers, dates of birth, tax references, addresses, notes, passwords or documents.
- Under your control
- Switched on per practice, with a daily question limit per person. Conversations aren't stored.
Which VAT returns are due in the next two weeks, and who's on them?
Two VAT returns are due by 7 November 2026, both for periods ending 30 September:
- Hartley Joinery Ltd: in progress, assigned to Ravi Patel (3h 15m logged so far)
- Copperleaf Coffee Co Ltd: already filed by Hannah Lewis
Nothing else falls due until 7 December. Would you like me to draft a chaser to Hartley Joinery for any missing records?
Yes please, friendly tone.
Read-only. Never sees NI numbers, dates of birth, tax references or passwords.
Coming next
Invoicing, manager roles and receipt capture.
Invoices will arrive as a paid add-on, with a manager role for team leads and receipt capture to follow. Practices on QuickManager get them first.
